PUBLIC BUSSES

BLUE BUS & GREEN BUS

For the transportation in Corfu you can use also PUBLIC BUSSES.

This is not that efective (easy, practical, reliable) and comfortable option, however it is quiet cheap !

The busses infrastructure is not well developed in Corfu and therefore you might find a difficulty with travelling by public busses !

There is a big problem with connection between resorts in Corfu, especially if you want to travel directly !
Further, there is a problem with possibly finding wrong information regarding the busses timetable & price, as the public busses are led by private business which does not keep the busses timetable updated online (there is different timetable in low and high season + different prices) and therefore you might find a false data
The public busses many times do not keep the 'Official Timetable' but they arrive / depart with +-30 min difference !
Many of GREEN BUSSES (the long distance busses) are old and without Air-Condition !

There are 2 types of busses operating in Corfu :

BLUE BUS (Corfu town, small distances -> Corfu Airport / Corfu Port / Corfu - OLD TOWN / Corfu GREEN BUS STATION)
GREEN BUS (all Corfu, long distances -> going into resorts : Acharavi, Sidari, Kassiopi, Paleokastritsa, Kavos ...)

Means, if you want to travel in Corfu by public busses in most cases you will need to use two busses for connection,

for example :

from Corfu International Airport / Port / OLD TOWN -> Acharavi ... you need to use 2 busses :
- BLUE BUS - from Corfu International Airport / Port / Old Town to GREEN BUS STATION in Corfu town
- GREEN BUS -> from GREEN BUS STATION in Corfu town to Acharavi
- The duration : 2 hours - 6.5 hours (depends of busses timetable connection)
- The price : approx. 10.00 € / per person ONE WAY + luggage

from Acharavi -> Paleokastritsa ... you need to use 2 (GREEN) busses :
- GREEN BUS - from Acharavi to GREEN BUS STATION in Corfu town
- GREEN BUS - from GREEN BUS STATION in Corfu town to Paleokastritsa
- The duration : 3 hours - 7.5 hours (depends of busses timetable connection)
- The price : approx. 12.00 - 15.00 € / per person ONE WAY

THE GREEN BUS STOPS in Acharavi

1. BUS STOP : next to the ' Folklore Museum of Acharavi'

just 500m from Villa Lucia

2. BUS STOP : right in the middle of the Acharavi centre

(opposite to Pumphouse restaurant), just 1.2 km from Villa Lucia

3. BUS STOP : at the end of Acharavi, next to the 'SUPERMARKET DIELLAS', just 1.6 km from Villa Lucia

GREEN BUS

BUS IN ACHARAVI

From Acharavi you can take only one type of bus - GREEN BUS.

There are 3 BUS LINES which you can take :

ACHARAVI -> SIDARI ... line S5 (KASSIOPI <-> SIDARI)
ACHARAVI -> KASSIOPI ... line S5 (SIDARI <-> KASSIOPI)
ACHARAVI -> CORFU TOWN (GREEN BUS STATION) ... line A3 (CORFU TOWN <-> RODA, ACHARAVI)

There is no other BUS LINE from Acharavi and therefore if you want to travel to any other destination, you have to take 2 busses :

GREEN BUS from Acharavi -> GREEN BUS STATION in Corfu town
GREEN BUS from GREEN BUS STATION in Corfu town -> your destination (for example Agios Georgios Pagon, Paleokastritsa, places in South Corfu)

THE BUS STOPS IN ACHARAVI :

1. BUS STOP : next to the ' Folklore Museum of Acharavi' -> just 500m from Villa Lucia
